Multi Culture. Why should that be such a priority. Job performance, trust and honesty is more important for a job well done. No matter what color, religion, or country you are from.
Support from management
Focus on putting the right people in management positions are one of the weak points in the company.
Division among leaders and management trickle down to associates morale lots of times. More attention and focus on Management and Leadership positions (the right person for the jobs) would make a lot of difference in company Teamwork and morale.
Freedom to work independently
A must to work at Averitt is to be able to work independently.
Some facilities and corporate services lack in communicating changes, correct training for new associates, correct diciplinary actions, and clear directions.
Not at the facility I work at.
Attitude towards older colleagues
Older associates I don’t feel get the respect they deserve. Older associates in leadership and management would be a plus. The experience and maturity makes a world of difference.
If you are a male, yes man. Females can mostly forget it. I’m just being honest. May not be like that everywhere, but it is where I am.
Overall compensation for your work
Lots less than the competition. Need to bring the pay scale up to par. Years ago administration made more at other carriers than Averitt and the trends continue. Averitt needs to wise up. Too many turn overs due to pay scale in admin Dept.
Office / Work Environment
Most of the time it’s great. Sometimes personalities don’t mix. Being compatible in the work place is important. Respecting one another is key.
Good hours and time off is important for good balance. It’s good. One of the strong points of the job.
Pretty good I suppose. People who visit say office staff should dress comfortable to work not like they are going to church
Pretty good if you willing to be quiet and kiss up to management.
Sometimes when we have a customer or other associate with a bad attitude.

- Choose better quality leaders and management. Communicate all changes in policy and operations procedures to all associates.
What I like about the company
Stability in being a stable financial company with a growing customer base.
What I dislike about the company
Rate of pay and the lack of management and discipline within the company. Hold associates accountable for doing their jobs properly. Including management.
