there was very little cooperation
Support from management
Lower management basically stayed out of your way if you were doing your job.

Freedom to work independently
there was very little oversight where it needed to be, or the kind that was needed
the upper management regularly flat out lied about important information to employees
No. The men were rumored to be compensated more than the women.
Attitude towards older colleagues
You had to really push for training.
Overall compensation for your work
No. They did not pay wages comparable to similar employers.
Office / Work Environment
Yes. The office was good.
Yes, they provided recycling containers.
Yes, this was one positive working for this company
I was until near the end when they began lying to the employees.
Obviously it was not. Every several years they fire everyone and relocate.
Yes, they were handicap accessible for wheelchairs, but nothing else.
Not at all. The "security guards" did little to keep us safe. They were more concerned with what the employees were doing. They installed "fire doors" that open INTO the room. Even after it was brought to their attention, they refused to fix this obvious problem.
the actual work was challenging and fun
Inclusive / Diverse
They thought they did. Unfortunately they could not bring the diversity together.
Suggestions for improvement
- Egos needed to be checked. Upper management was more concerned about how they could make your life difficult, just because they could. The culture of the company was "us" against "them".
What I like about the company
The experience was invaluable. I met many great people.
What I dislike about the company
Upper management made many decisions that were not good for the company personnel or finances. Some management felt it was okay to lie to employees, even after confronted with the truth. They felt it was acceptable because of "who they were". They did not deal with problem employees well, or at all. The large egos in their corporate office needed to be culled. It's a real shame. The company could have been the best employer.
