A culture of taking advantage of the new hires and not paying them decent wages and refusing to provide them full time hrs as promised.
Support from management
Leadership doesn't care about their newer employees. They will try and low-ball you with lower wages and not give you proper working hours.
They say you will get a pay increase and "possibly" 40 hours a week after you work/train for 90 days. After your 90 days, they will keep postponing your pay increase as well as the full time hours to keep you from getting "full time" benefits.
Your fellow employees are your only saving grace of sanity there because they are in the same boat as you.
They don't follow their promise to give you the better pay and the hrs promised.
Work owns you. You are on call, even when you say you don't want to be on call for a certain day. You will work your set up for 4 hrs in the morning. If you have the afternoon scheduled off, you will be called and expected to tear down sets in the afternoon. This makes it difficult to plan things out because of the lack of communication for a work day.
You will think you are only set to work in the morning, then they call you and expect you to work later that day. Of course you are going to do that because of the lack of pay and full time hrs.
The work was fun and the locations were great to be at.
Suggestions for improvement
- Management needs to stop taking advantage of their employees and follow up on their promises. When I was with the team and working with my fellow employees there, they were all complaining about the working conditions and the lies told by management.
What I dislike about the company
You are cheap hired help set to work part time hrs because they are too cheap to give you decent wages and full time hrs that are promised in interviews.
