There is an attempt at tying the different teams / groups together but this could be managed significantly better.

Results are normally the key metric.
Attitude towards older colleagues
This is an area where I feel the company falls short. Multiple examples where I believe age and "liability to the company" were key reasons to determine where reductions in work staff should occur - rather than results.
