No trust between management and union employees. Highly stressful environment.
Support from management
Supervision and management was inexperienced and showed favortism between employees.
Among union members only there was teamwork. If you were not in union most jobs had to be performed without help.
Freedom to work independently
Work load was distributive evenly. Union members were treated with no urgency to complete jobs in timely manner.
communication was limited to new employees. Union members and management made it difficult to perform job successfully.
No sign with female employees being treated differently. Majority of employees working in plant were male.
Attitude towards older colleagues
Union members used contract as leverage to control how the plant was ran making it difficult for anyone hired in to be treated fairly.
Further advancement is dictated by what union members input say to management.

Wage and benefits are industry comparable to job description.
Office / Work Environment
Highly stressful working in a union environment.
Minimum effort made to accommodate and transition new employees in a fair manner. Union made it difficult for management team to improve business practices.
This applied to union workers only. Non union workers didn't have privileges to make their work-life balance accommodating.
Even amongst union members was alot of negative attitude regarding company practices.
Union members are protected by union contract which makes it difficult for company to eliminate non performers and hire a quality professional staff.
Very limited areas in plant to provide access for disability.
Only category that this company excelled in. Very safety concerned.
The work performed by new employees was done at or above expectation but not credited accordingly. Union members showed favortism towards friends and family members which creates unfair practices.

Alot of prejudice amongst union members.
Suggestions for improvement
- Eliminate the union and allow the company to have control on the facility.

I met some nice people and liked being apart of making components for our military.
