Union oriented company
Support from management
Supervisors were controlled through management, not having ability to think for themselves.
Union members inhibited production output by controlling work environment to decide when work would be completed. Management battled union to keep a schedule on time.
I didn't notice but a grew woman working there. Mostly majority was men. I also seen only a few black race employees working there. Not a diversified company.
Stressful due to the fact if a new employee not yet in the union works to a outstanding performance it makes the other union workers look bad and if the new employee doesn't work to satisfactory standards for management then the employee will not stay employed. Not a good working environment to be in.
Suggestions for improvement
- Remove the union and allow the company to make the decisions to operate the manufacturing plant eliminating a third party.
What I like about the company
I was able too utilize some training for hydraulics which I had to learn from companies VHS tapes provided three times during on the job in office area of human resources.
What I dislike about the company
I feel my opportunity to prove my qualifications was satisfactory but alot of company problems is with the union controlling the system not allowing the company to be productive with having a better cultural environment for anyone to be able to work there.
