Like with any company, you have the coworkers you like and those you don't. The only difference with this one is that you love with your coworkers 24/7. Tensions can run extremely high in environments functioning much like a college dorm. When everyone is lacking sleep, privacy and down time, company drama can (and does) occur.
That being said, you can also form some great friendships win some pretty awesome people since you spend so much intimate time together.
Support from management
You are very much "on your own" when you are in the field. Managers work set office hours (often in different time zones from employees in the field), so support is non-existent. Scheduling managers allow employees working abroad to do so at their own risk of deportation. The company requires you to be available for the summer peak season, but they do not go through the proper channels to ensure legality. Many Backroads leaders have been deported and temporarily barred from re-entering Europe due to overstaying their legal tourist visa limits.
