I enjoy helping the students learn; however, the administrators put so much on us sometimes that I get overwhelmed.

My experience with BCHS has been good. The only thing i wish i could change is being away from disgruntle, messy people.

What I like

Working with children that have multiple disabilities is a wonderful experience, because not only am I helping someone in need but building more character within myself.

What I dislike

In this company, I disapprove of documenting problems or issues, but when the time comes to use them, not everyone's documentations are used. Example: I wanted to use information that i gathered about some of the employees that were in the wrong, but my documents were not taken but overlooked. However, the same employees sent in documents about me and administration accepted their documents. If you're going to want documentation, then accept everyone's when provided!!

Suggestions for improvement

I would improve the schedule of the aids that work in the "tiger's den." I would also encourage employees not to share any personal information about themselves or family members because that info will always be used against you.

This district is financially stable with a strong infrastructure. Teachers are appreciated, and compensated .

What I like

I've worked in a wide range of schools, First, I started as a Kindergarten Paraprofessional in 2003 and it was exciting and fulfilling. The students was a joy to teach.

What I dislike

Now that I am at another facility, the rules most certainly change concerning students are different especially when you are working with more challenging students. I disapprove of having one or two lunchroom monitors to control unacceptable behaviors. I think that more help would have been good.

More administrative support concerning discipline.

What I like

My principal is a wonderful, and kind person. She gives us a great deal of freedom in our classrooms.

What I dislike

I feel as though the students get away with too much. When students are a behavior problem, they do not get much of a punishment, so the behavior continues.

Suggestions for improvement

Students should be held more accountable for their behavior and their academic success. It is truly a disservice to the children, as the real world will not be as understanding of their lack of effort.
I also feel that if the state has rules, as in the attendance policy, that they should be enforced. I have some students who have missed more than 40 days of school, and get no consequences.
