I encountered a culture of alcoholism both by middle and upper management. In addition, turning down a drink while on duty was treated negatively and eventually turned into criticism and ridicule for those of us professional enough not to be under the influence while working.

This company lacked the basics of management 101. They set unrealistic goals while pressuring to produce more while reducing staff in order to meet higher profits for their CEO.
