Suggestions for improvement
- Not being so focused on the number of pets seen. Some patients take up more time i.e. a vaccine booster appointment vs a critically ill one with blood work, x-rays etc. Deal with problems swiftly. Enforce set or predictable schedules so staff can maintain work life balance.
What I like about the company
Reimbursement for taking vet tech boards. The team you work with makes or breaks the experience so I've enjoyed a good one that celebrates people's successes.
What I dislike about the company
We're open 7 days a week. Some managers are OK with predictable schedules. Others don't want people to have the same schedule 2 weeks in a row. Long hours, low pay and no lunch breaks. Issues take months if not years to get resolved. Some managers play favorites.
