This company has become money hungry company don't care for customers or employees. It's all about numbers and money.
Support from management
In the leadership team they people that are not ethical or professionals.
The only time teamwork is enforce is when their goals are not where they need to be so then you will have the management team drilling on you everyday.
Freedom to work independently
It is not because if you are not one of the management teams favor you are basically on your own.
They communicate with you every Friday when you are not making your goals and ask you what are you planning to do? Maybe is time to move on? After 20 years of service they fire me because of my numbers. I asked to move to another department within the company which they use to do and the response was you have to do sales in every department which I know it is not true.
Attitude towards older colleagues
Actually what this company is doing is firing the associate that are older and with senority. Cold turkey no kind of package.
As long as the regional team or managers likes you they will support you even though the associate is not making their goals.
Overall compensation for your work
Not anymore every time payouts were do they will find everything they can to avoid giving you a full pay out unless is one of their favorite associates.
Office / Work Environment
Working area is good.
It use to be a family oriented company not any more. For example everything goes by senority so you would have the managers take most of the holidays because even if you have more senority than your manager or supervisor they get to pick before and you have some managers that will give their associates a chance in my case my manager approve vacation on two associates not management team before me and when I asked her she said she could do that I called HR and they said that cannot be done but no one did anything.
The image does not reflect reality. A lot of the employees are still there because of knowing the market for jobs can be tough and they have bills to pay. When I run into some of the people that I worked with they tell be it was the best thing that happen to me because it has gotten worse and I agree I am working and it feels like I am in HEAVEN THANK GOD.
The biggest risk is not making money for BOA if you are not they to give any opportunity no matter how long you been with the company. As they say everything is sales.
Yes they don't have no choice.
Inclusive / Diverse
It all depends on your management team because BOA has allowed some of them get away with a lot of unethical and professional things.
Suggestions for improvement
- The company needs to come out with better ways to treat their employees all around the circle. Instead of micromanaging the associates they should micromanage their regional and management team.
What I like about the company
I must say when I started working for the bank in 1994 it was a family oriented company not anymore.
What I dislike about the company
It is a very manipulate and unfair company.
