Suggestions for improvement
- I would improve things such as more paid holidays as I want to spend more time with family. There isn't much opportunity for off days. In addition, some of the management staff is a little crazy and very strict.
What I like about the company
Personally, this place is really good. This is because I get paid pretty well. my co-workers would also have to agree. this is because we work hard and get treated well by our employers. we receive many benefits such as dental plans for my son who needs braces. in addition, there are many employee events such as restaurant events. they usually provide free snacks and drinks in the cafeteria. there is also a desirable location. there is a lot of public transportation nearby so I can travel around with lots of convenience and accessibility. honestly, I would recommend anyone come work here. although we have the option to have paid national holidays, you can work during those days for anothers day worth of pay, which is really nice. this is because sometimes I want to work another day for extra money so i can treat my family to go out or something like that. we usually get treated starbucks or donuts from dunkin donuts. this shows that our employers really care about us. Good location with Bryant Park view. A lot of opportunities especially in regulatory compliance and risk management area. Good culture and talented coworkers. Hours is good. Management here is serious and formalized. I have learnt a lot about international trade agreements and detailed requirements here between banks and companies. It is a quiet and comfortable place for work, it is a small place but I learned a lot from it. My colleagues were all very friendly and taught me a lot. I enjoyed my time there. The working environment at BOC is very cooperative and supportive. Everyone here knows and talks to each other regardless of title. Managers here are very friendly and they especially look after newbies like me. I like working here because I can obtain unlimited resources for an entry level job training. Since Spanish is not my native language, there is also free Spainsh classes provided after work in the office. In addition, a big plus is the two-hour break in the middle of the day. I recommend it.
