There was no concern for patients. MDs were more interested in discussing how to invest their money
same as above
NO interest in teaching if you were female or did not matriculate from the U of A system
Attitude towards older colleagues
The older MDs were encouraging gender discrimination along with encouraging bad behaviour
it suffered greatly
The nurses were wonderful along with some of the MAs.
No one was interested in teaching the system, but I was always being insulted for not knowing things and worked non-stop until exhaustion.
This clinic prided itself on bringing the most money every year. They valued productivity, not caring and compassionate physicians
I was left to my figure everything out on my own. It is a huge university system.
Suggestions for improvement
- When I was working there, I had to learn two EMR systems and was forced to learn EPIC in less than one week. It was a mess. I was new and shot out of a cannon into chaos and no one cared.
What I like about the company
I enjoyed the patients, despite the horrors behind closed doors. I really enjoyed working with the nurses and most of the MA. The clinic itself was beautiful and had a nice setup, with the exception of sharing an office. I also enjoyed working with the sub-specialists.
What I dislike about the company
There was a lot of corruption in the system at the time in which I worked. I also do not feel that a lot of appropriations were being put toward patient care as they should have.
The following benefits were offered to me
