One patient opinion may get you fired, management has brutal take on things
Support from management
Very poor nursing managers and leadership
very poor relationship between management and employees....
Freedom to work independently
very poor sense of autonomy ad satisfaction for nurses
Very Very poor, management does not believe any input by nurses
It is the haves and have nots philosophy
Attitude towards older colleagues
Management has very poor work ethic.....staff nurses work, management nurses do not, they socialize
No where to go once you get there, they won't assist you to transfere
Overall compensation for your work
poor pay for the stress levels involved there, they heard patients in and out like cattle, and are always to increase the revenue, not much thought by management to staff turnover and experience
Office / Work Environment
Filthy, totally filthy
Management does not address important things, but there is a lot of socializing and parties with State Inspectors and JCAH and deep sea fishing trips, and all other....you get the idea
Baptist allows only 4 call-ins a year. Even an average well family has more emergencies than that...so their motto does not count toward their own....that speaks volumes
A timebomb, don't go there, don't work there
Very poor, unless you are in the good ol boy club
Bad area, lots of crime
There is a reason why there have been so many major things happen there. They just wine and dine the inspectors to get out of a lot
and blame it on staff
Poor patient conditions decrease nursing satisfaction. Know one nurse who just quit after 25 years there because of the poor patient care.
Inclusive / Diverse
Suggestions for improvement
- Your nursing management is horrible. Change it.
Clean up the place, it's filthy.
What I like about the company
The nurses are great, despite what they work with.
