The owners pick favorites, and there is a lot of nepotism. Family members of the owners get special treatment, while outside employees take blame for things that have nothing to do with them.
Support from management
Management all around isn't informed very well by the higher ups, and as a result the workloads are more strenuous than need be on the entire facility.
You are asked to do everything on your own, and teamwork is highly discouraged. When attempting to help fellow employees you'll be sent to do menial tasks away from your department.
Freedom to work independently
Everyone shared the same load, give or take family members.
This is only getting three stars because we were at least told what we did wrong and how to fix it afterward. Otherwise it was shooting in the dark for the rest of the way.
Overall compensation for your work
You are paid one flat rate and raises are out of the question.
Office / Work Environment
They have you in a warehouse without any type of cooling or A/C, so expect it to always be 10 degrees hotter inside than it is outside at all times. You are forced to wear steel-toe shoes for protection, but you must stand the entire shift.
You are always threatened with being fired, regardless of how hard you work.
Everything matches up with OSHA, that's about all I can say.
Suggestions for improvement
- Reduce nepotism and communicate better with the entire staff.
What I like about the company
I would be lying if I said I liked anything about Bass, other than my fellow employees.
What I dislike about the company
Almost everything about this place was utterly un-enjoyable and a very awful experience overall. I consider it to be the worst place I have ever worked.
