What I like about the company

I enjoy working with my team and sharing our different perspectives.

What I dislike about the company

There is not a lot of tier positions to grow and equal distribution of work/pay balance. Also we can’t work remotely even though my position is not customer facing.

  • Increase compensation based on frequent market research. Quarterly meetings where senior management addresses employees in person and keeps them updated on the direction the company is going

What I like about the company

Management has been supportive. Work location is close to my house. Management has made good hiring decisions

What I dislike about the company

Compensation is too low. Poor communication from senior level management, who tends to remain distant from the people who are actually doing day to day work

Suggestions for improvement

  • I would provide a workplace where all individuals have a chance for advancement. Cut down on the favoritism and change the leadership in Procurement from the SVP down to they system directors.

What I like about the company

The positive experiences were working with the coworkers and the location of the job.

BSW purchased HTPN - HTPN facilities and employees not treated equally to BSW employees

Support from management

Management at my facility will only support something that benefits them and they don't have an interest in seeing the employees succeed.

Teamwork

Clinic where I work consistently demonstrates core values not in line with that of BSW, yet no one holds them accountable. Unscrupulous leaders who care only about their own advancement and would throw any of their team under the bus if it served them to do so.

Freedom to work independently

The clinic I work in does not foster independence.

Internal Communication

They send a lot of email information - communication is good.

Gender Equality

Healthcare is known for being a female-dominated workforce.

Attitude towards older colleagues

I do not know if they treat older employees fairly or not. Have not experienced anything negative regarding age, however.

Career Development

BSW offers growth opportunities to BSW employees, but HTPN purchased employees do not seem to get the same opportunities. The clinic where I am currently offers no opportunity for growth.

Overall compensation for your work

I have to work multiple jobs to live as my job at BSW does not pay well.

Work-Life Balance

No overtime allowed in my clinic, so it lends well to work-life balance. However, they don't pay well enough for it to be your only job, so you have to work 2 jobs to live, which does not lend well to work-life balance.

Company Image

I'm proud to work for BSW, but I'm not proud to work for the clinic I am in currently. I am always applying for positions in other facilities.

Challenging Work

My position is entry level and not at all challenging. I have applied for other positions but to no avail.

Inclusive / Diverse

I think BSW values diversity, but the clinic I am in currently does not.

Suggestions for improvement

  • All employees should have the opportunity to receive the same benefits. If it isn't affordable to offer it to all employees, then it should not be offered to any. Also, employees need someone that is going to listen to them. In my facility, there is NO ONE on our side. If we go to them with a complaint their response is, "Maybe this isn't the place for you to work."

What I like about the company

BSW has great core values that represent exactly what I would expect a high-quality healthcare company to have.

What I dislike about the company

HTPN facilities/employees are treated differently. All the benefits, such as tuition reimbursement, are not available to HTPN employees, yet we are expected to follow BSW values and rules. We have to wear BSW uniforms, follow all BSW rules, but we are not offered the same benefits as other BSW employees. Also, I'm of the opinion that HR is not on the employees' side but on the side of management. Violence has been threatened by a supervisor in my facility and she still has her job. BSW facilities have stated that would never be the case at their facility, so I wonder why it is acceptable at my HTPN facility.

  • With all the changes in healthcare, I feel some autonomy has been taken away from the bedside leaders. Algorithms have been put in place to guide decision making. Not everyone is the same so sometimes the algorithm is not always the best plan of action

I love that it is a Christian company. Administration is open to ideas from staff & easy to approach.
