Safety? Oh, they have policies in place, but actions? Not so much. It was reported and witnessed by multiple staff that a particular nurse was brandishing a loaded 38 caliber revolver in the office, and nothing was done. Later, the same individual discharged a taser in the hospital and again, nothing was done.
Suggestions for improvement
- Simply this: follow your policies - equally for everyone
What I like about the company
I love the job I do, my interaction with paients
What I dislike about the company
They operate from a purely punitive standpoint. People are "written up" for: body language, spending time with the patients, attitude, not fitting in w/ the "dynamics", blah, blah blah. People are fired on a weekly basis - good people w/ good work ethics. Recently the CEO sent an e-mail out to all staff to say the ANYONE found talking about events and people recently terminated would be fired. At the recent hospital Christmas party a male manager got up to the microphone (drunk) and made comments that "poles" should be placed in the nurses stations and nurses needed to learn to get on their "knees". The CEO was present, did nothing and the manager did not miss a day or skip a beat. If your not in the "click", your life will be miserable.
