Teamwork

I feel that our techs are not treated as fairly as our RNs. Although some techs might not have the RN behind their name, I can honestly say that they do more work than the nurses here at Baylor. Some nurses won't even help out to take a patient to the restroom when they are clearly inside of the room & capable to do so. A lot of this "leverage & lead way" for RN's is upper management's fault as well. Some RN's today started off as techs too...don't forget where you started.

Overall Compensation for your work

Not at all. Baylor does not fairly compensate their employees for the hard work that we do. I along with many others have had complaints about the pay that Baylor offers. One of the employees told me she had worked for Baylor "9" years & her pay was yet under $12. I believe that we do work hard ultimately for the patients but Baylor doesn't care. We have families to feed & support & working for little or nothing, I cannot see any advancement.
