Suggestions for improvement

  • My changes would not be to the company itself but to Healthcare in general. I feel that the Nurse to patient ratio needs to be mandated throughout the states. I am not affected by this as I work In the PACU and only get 2 pts at a time. But other areas are getting so burned out with the high patient loads as it trickles down into every area.

What I like about the company

I have found Baylor to be a wonderful place to work. It is known worldwide as a great place to work and the employees are multi cultural. The pay is fair and the Administrators truly care about the employees well bring. In 22 years I’ve had many experiences that qualify my statements. I had s knee replacement and was in FMLA for 12 weeks. As a Nurse I stand for 12 hours s day. On returning from FMKA Baylor was exceptional in seeing that I was able to complete my shift without overdue pain. I was allowed small breaks to ice my knee and given encouragement.

Suggestions for improvement

  • It’s more the nature of healthcare that needs improving. I believe Baylor does it’s part in cultural diversity education and implementation. The policies are fair and adequate. I can’t think of any particular changes I would make at present time.

What I like about the company

I’ve been both in Management and regular staff. I was allowed to step down from my management position and keep my salary base. I currently make the maximum allowed and increases are on a lump sum bonus. I have been given education opportunities I feel go beyond a regular employee/employee relationships. I am truly happy with this company and feel THE BEDT BELONG AT BAYLOR.
