It is a safe environment and they provide extensive training to prevent accidents.
Suggestions for improvement
- My only suggestion would be to include paid vacation time such as winter breaks and holidays. But being that this is still a small business, paid vacation time remains an unrealistic expectation.
I like about the employer
I like the great sense of moral satisfaction I get when I leave here everyday. There is no doubt that what we do here has only a positive effect on my life, the clients' lives, their families' lives, and the community overall. Aside from that and being paid a nice wage, there are many other perks as well. We, as employees, have the opportunity to set up a 401(k) retirement plan even though this is still a small business. We also have health insurance options as well. Employees also have opportunities to win prizes such as: gas gift cards, amazon gift cards, paid days off, attraction tickets, dinner and movie certificates, etc. We can win these by entering a drawing which takes place every month. Employees can earn extra entries in these drawings by putting in extra effort and completing certain tasks outside of their normal work responsibilities. There is also a reward system in place so that employees can earn "points" to redeem for prizes from a selection of snacks and beverages, gift cards, and other useful miscellaneous items. I also like that if I have an issue with anything, the HR Director takes the time to speak with me and we work together to resolve it.
