Suggestions for improvement
- Care more about your students and employees. Compensate them better, appreciate them more. And be much more realistic/ hands on so you know what's possible. Overworking people and taking advantage of them doesn't do them well in the field.
I like about the employer
You get a lot of hands-on experience and work on really cool projects.
I dislike about the employer
Everything about the lab was terrible... people treated each other poorly, the PI would yell at everyone and make unreasonable demands. Be careful of academic dishonesty.. The PI also expected undergrads to work at least 20 hours a week in his lab unpaid. A lot of the times, we sat around and didn't have much to do. We worked holidays, weekends, and breaks. I was pretty miserable when I was there. Management consisted of graduate students who were full of themselves and they would pretty much order you around however they pleased.
