HR will not help you out for anything. They are never on the floor and their open door policy always keeps their door shut so you can't talk.
Support from management
You have no support from upper management. This is the only reason that I left.
This depends on if you have to work closely with the front office.
Freedom to work independently
You can do just about anything you want as long as it falls in the rules.
Some in the front office keep things stirred up by talking to their favorites on the production floor. They love to spread rumors to keep morale down.
I feel this is very good. Everyone with the same job gets the same pay and benefits.
Attitude towards older colleagues
They do what they can for older team members.
They pick their favorites and don't worry about the rest.
Overall compensation for your work
Office / Work Environment
This goes back to HR and upper management. They do not help you with anything.
They do not recycle very well.
For the most part the work life balance is ok.
Not as good as it used to be.
They don't care. Everyone is replaceable.
With the rules and how clean you have to be it makes it hard to be accessible for handicapped.
This goes back to setting the culture. The safety coordinator is only on the floor when something goes wrong.
Work is not very challenging.
Inclusive / Diverse
Diversity is not very good.
Suggestions for improvement
- Change out most of the front office with people that care about what goes on in the plant.
