Suggestions for improvement

  • Listen to the people. Listen to the tenants and building managers; they are on the front-lines, they are living what the Directors are implementing, they are the face of the organization. They are the most experienced and realistic voices in the organization. Stop dispensing lip service to employees and when you give them a new task, provide the real and feasible means of doing it (which you promised); not later, not soon, not "we're working on it", not tomorrow - NOW - or better yet, BEFORE you implement the new policy or procedure!

What I like about the company

Great benefits and paid vacation time

What I dislike about the company

For the most part I felt like I was told things that leadership could not or would not back up with action. Often felt unsupported and without necessary resources, assistance and training to perform the tasks assigned. When I left, the job did not remotely resemble what I was hired for 6 years prior, yet the written job description in the employee handbook just kept getting longer and longer (the description for my position when I left was twice as long as any other in the company, including the Executive Director's!)
