Suggestions for improvement
- They have to be willing to listen to the DSPs as we know what goes on in the house. They have to understand that just because it is the manager and she gives out some ridiculous idea such as cleaning the fridge that is filled with food with Bleach, that does not mean we have to do it. It is not safe and if the individuals were to get sick, the whole agency would be in trouble. They have to treat everyone fairly and with respect and make the environment comfortable such that everyone is happy to come to work. There should also be a pay raise as we take care of five developmentally delayed individuals, cook, pass medications, and clean for them.
I like about the employer
Working with developmentally delayed adults. Helping them achieve maximum self sufficency and helping them become independent.
