Company Culture

AWFUL!!! DRAMA FILLED!!

Support from management

ZERO!!

Teamwork

If you’re MAU, the BMW employees treat you like you're second class.

Career Development

Some of the section leaders don’t want MAU associated to move forward. THEY WILL HAVE YOU STUCK AT THE SAME LEVEL. I was told by my section leader that she didn’t have time to train me on more jobs. That creates burn out.

Overall compensation for your work

The pay was descent.

Office / Work Environment

Stressful...

Environmental Friendliness

The culture at BMW is absolutely TOXIC!!

Work-Life Balance

Long hours but the schedule does allow for plenty of time off.

Company Image

Everything always looks good from the outside. But once you’re in, it’s awful.

Workplace Safety

Pretty safe and clean.

Challenging Work

I loved the job but depending on who your section leader is, you won’t be trained to do very much. I did the same 4 processes for a year!!

Suggestions for improvement

  • If MAU reps would listen to their employees and act on the unfair treatment.

What I like about the company

Pay was always on time. Benefits where comparable to those of full time BMW employees.

What I dislike about the company

MAU lets their associates get steam rolled by BMW section leaders. They don’t fight for the health and safety of their employees. They’ll let BMW work you like a dog until you’re injured and then they fire you.

Support from management

Again, there was no support.

Teamwork

Very little communication through the company, the service BDC manager did not help whatsoever with calls. She focused more on yelling at her husband in the same room and speaking about her children/dogs.

Office / Work Environment

We’re in the same room as the manager and we would always hear all the conversations she was having (personal). It was always so awkward is she was in a bad mood. Not a very great environment, my coworkers were the only ones getting me through the day.

Work-Life Balance

The only positive thing is I still had a personal life.

Company Image

Everyone was either very lazy at the job, never able to answer the phone because I was a receptionist also. No one would help.

Workplace Safety

We used to be in an older building and when I opened we’d have to go through a garage because no one had the decency to open any other door. I slipped and fell in front of a mechanic and he helped me up.

Challenging Work

It was always so slow.

Suggestions for improvement

  • Management and communication. Also there was a lot of favoritism, which is very unprofessional.

What I like about the company

My coworkers that I worked with every day.

What I dislike about the company

Management and the lack of communication.

  • I would make employee reviews and staff meetings a regularly scheduled event on a bi monthly basis or monthly basis.

What I like about the company

The clients we have are great to work with. Sure there are a few bad apples now and again; but if you like working with motorcycles and helping expand the community of safe & happy riders this is a wonderful place to be. Many of the clients we serve just want to enjoy the machines they have purchased and in supporting that I have been able to take my clients on rides, help them when they are on the road (when they call in). Going the extra mile for many people who other shops had sent away and seeing how stoked they were is wonderful.

Additionally the GM cares about each employee and works harder than anyone. I have never met anyone who was willing to work harder to make the lives of everyone around the shop better. Wonderful place to know you are valued.

What I dislike about the company

I don't necessarily disapprove of the company just some of those that we serve sometimes. Their needs can be childish, overbearing, and just plain counterproductive to the endeavor or actually riding. That's the most difficult part.
