I like about the employer

Boeing has an excellent program for continuing education and reimbursement.

I dislike about the employer

Almost impossible to move between job skills. Once you are in a particular job function, you'll probably never leave it, even if there are other open positions for which you are qualified.

Also, if you are an engineer, you probably aren't going to find much demand for engineering in the Puget Sound area five years from now. Boeing is intent on allowing attrition and retirement to deplete the engineering staff in Washington so they can move high paying engineering positions to right to work states. Boeing has a reputation for being an engineering oriented company, but senior leaders are no longer engineers, they are MBAs and accountants.

If you can get career satisfaction from making the lowest cost product rather than the most innovative, then Boeing might be a good fit for you. If you are looking for challenging work, look elsewhere.
