Job security

A job at Booksource is never stable. In the year and a half that I worked there, they laid off at least 15 individuals because they said they were "going in another direction". They have no loyalty to good employees.

I like about the employer

Great benefits.

I dislike about the employer

As I stated in an earlier comment, Booksource has a reputation of laying off employees (i.e. firing) for no apparent reason. They don't seem to value a good employee, and are always looking to "go in a different direction with the position". They play favorites with employees, and if you aren't one of their favorites, they will let you go. They make a very big deal when someone is hired and they mention multiple times that Missouri is an "at will" state when it comes to hiring and firing. I guess this is their way to make sure they don't get sued when firing people so often for no reason.
