Support from management
They fired anyone who knew what they were doing and replaced them with "Yes Men"
Freedom to work independently
You have no support except for the micro manager that been with the company 7 months. When you ask for help he comes up with some excuse why he cannot help. But then turns around and says on conference calls "If you need help I'm here for you, just ask." Talk is cheap actions speak worlds.
Overall compensation for your work
There is no way to factor your commission. When the current CEO came onboard he said he didn't know how we were being paid. When that was only true for the coffee. But you got paid 3.9% on everything else. Now people are making 10K less than they were making 10 years ago( if they are still around) but running twice the volume.
There is none. Expect to work 60-65 hours per week unless the route is cut up then don't expect to make any money.
Driving around in vehicles that are all running close to 300K miles and not wanting to fix things like power steering pumps correctly the first time just patching it up so it will work for the next month or so is not safe.
Suggestions for improvement
- Embracing your history doesn't have to be confined to quality of products alone. It can also mean working as a team and not viewing your employees as a commodity like you would discard a sack of coffee beans that you didn't like. Just because the person checking them didn't like dark roasted coffee.
What I like about the company
What I dislike about the company
They are no longer a family owned company were you are an individual but part of a team,. They are now a family owned corporation and the employee is only a number.
