Company Culture

Leadership never praises, only criticizes.

Support from management

If I could rank it lower, I would. No support at all, and all blame falls to you.

Teamwork

Teamwork within the organization is good except with the executive director.

Freedom to work independently

The executive director needs to make all decisions or else they're wrong.

Internal Communication

Communication is terrible, and again, everything that goes wrong is your fault.

Gender Equality

Women are well-treated and respected.

Attitude towards older colleagues

Age isn't a factor.

Career Development

Very little opportunities for personal development or career enhancement.

Overall compensation for your work

Fair compensation, benefits were good.

Office / Work Environment

Decent. My office was shared with soda boxes and storage, but all in all, not bad.

Environmental Friendliness

Always willing to help out. Score would be higher if it was for reasons other than shameless self-promotion.

Work-Life Balance

Expectations are 24/7 on-call.

Company Image

Very negative attitude toward leadership, both among staff and in the community.

Job Security

Job security is at the whim of the executive director.

Handicapped Accessibility

Some accessibility but not as compliant as it should be.

Workplace Safety

OSHA standards followed, training sorely lacking.

Inclusive / Diverse

N/A on diversity, since we're not in a very diverse area. Diverse opinions are most definitely not welcome.

Suggestions for improvement

  • This is an organization that could be great if a change in leadership was made, and soon.

What I like about the company

Challenging, interesting work that could be much better if suggestions were embraced and implemented.

What I dislike about the company

Weak and ineffectual leadership that doesn't embrace new ideas and is insistent on the "my way or the highway" approach.
