Brightstar care does not care who they staff. As long as a warm body shows up and the family pays you are on your own. At times Brightstar care has to call other staffing services to find a warm body . CNA are mistreated and overworked , and live in is a primary need with no days off because they cannot find relief. The work load exceeds the pay . You may be working 160 hours a week for as little as $100 a day . Then you will be told that if you worked through the night , as a live in , that you only are paid from 8 AM - 4PM . If you work at 2AM -4AM they wont pay you because from 12AM -8AM you are supposed to be asleep. Please spare yourself and don't work for them.
Support from management
Forget it they will ignore you until you are in tears . Do not accept live in cases . And if you want staff relief in a hospital it will be here and there but more ina nursing home to stay 11 hrs a day with a patient .

Freedom to work independently
I was fortunate to be allowed to drive home to check my mail and pay my rent even though I was a live in , and without a private room of my own , I had to wait 2 weeks for them to find someone to relieve me for 4 hours only . You have no life when you make Brightstar care your slave driving employer.
A joke. If you have an emergency you wont be acknowledged . Your needs are unimportant .

Overall compensation for your work
When you do the math , your hours worked divided by your hourly will be less than minimum wage. No overtime . And when brought to the attention of the staff they play a numbers game and tell you that they do not pay for time reported if it is past midnight.
Office / Work Environment
Home care cases will need serious housekeeping .
Be prepared to be offered a live in , and wear many hats. Housekeeping, personal care attendant, cook, laundry department, transportation , assist with all other visiting home care staff such as physical therapy etc.
As mentioned no concern for the workers well being .
Poor - If you hurt yourself you can give yourself emergency first aid because they won't help you. Just work and shut up

- Sell out to a more professional caring team. Caring for EMPLOYEES not just making money off the client.
