Suggestions for improvement
- Reduce teacher workload. Streamline paperwork. Stop giving teachers so many new tasks in PLC meetings just to keep teachers busy while not giving additional time for teachers to get new tasks done. Stop overwhelming teachers. Be reasonable. Believe what teachers say. Build trust with teachers. Stop taking word of students over teachers. Be firm on student discipline and hold students accountable for their words and actions. Hold administrators accountable for their words and actions.
What I like about the company
Interactions with some students and faculty/staff are positive, but the negatives out weigh the positives.
What I dislike about the company
The imposed teacher workload. The constant additional paperwork we are required to do without being supplied the time to get it done. Changing so many things we do so often. Principal's lack of support of teachers and lack of trust of teachers. Students' word taken over teachers. Principal's indecisiveness and lack of firm stude by discipline. Students are allowed to run over teachers. Students are allowed to run the school. Students being allowed and encouraged to use environment/homelife/poverty as an excuse for bad behavior, not doing assignments, and lack of engagement/participation. Teachers held accountable and blamed for everything while students are allowed to use excuses and are not held accountable for any of it. Teachers being told it is your job, when it is the students' responsibility too. There is only so much teachers can control; be realistic!
