Attitude towards older colleagues
Debatable. Felt older colleagues were largely "invisible" and ignored.
Overall compensation for your work
Very well compensated for work load performed commensurate with years of service.
Office / Work Environment
Nice confines, however, had to perform at a desk multi-tasking a high volume, heavy, demanding work-load requiring 200% of my focus and concentration while surrounded by loud (and at times obnoxious) "unbusy" individual(s) protected/favored by management who seemed to get away with socializing the day away, becoming the source of constant audible and visible distractions to "the lessers" who were busy busting a tail and cranking out work to meet deadlines and such. Made the work day much more exhausting under less than favorable working conditions; however, I valued and loved my time at Brinks and especially my immediate managers who were the best.
Job security felt tenuous due to periodic/more frequent "layoffs" in recent years.
Challenging work providing a variety of tasks and responsibilities and opportunities to learn - never bored or without something to do or that had to be done next. High expectations from managers who were great to work for.
What I like about the company
Great benefits, flex-time to name a few. Overall a great place to work. Good H.R. department.
What I dislike about the company
Cliques and gossips especially among the admin staff, unfortunately occurs in every workplace to a degree.
