Work and duties constantly piled onto workers without time to properly complete tasks.No real consideration of ideas presented by employees productivity.
Promotion based on "who you know" aspect and those same individuals are given preferential treatment.
Attitude towards older colleagues
During my time with the comany I observed several employees with over 15 years experience leave the company with little to no resistance by management. Seniority only comes into consideration when considering vacation time.
Little to no opportunity for advancement. Managers leave and take many months to replace.
Overall compensation for your work
Salary is not competitive. Responsibilities exceed the salaries provided. Initial salaries offered to new hires are not equal and unfairly distributed.
Office / Work Environment
Office is often too cold and a distraction from work during winter; building is old and A/C went out often during summer in one part of the building.
Only 4 people are allowed to be off at any given time. During certain times of year no workers are allowed to take off. Family life is not considered. You are expected to perform the duties of up to 4 different departments but only paid for 1.
This company is a non-standard insurance company and is known for poor customer service by other insurance companies and customers.
Accomplishments either go unnoticed or are not made a priority.
Suggestions for improvement
- Better training programs, higher dedication to customer service, more competitive salary, more advancement opportunities a stronger focus on relations within the company for employees and management.
What I like about the company
They are willing to give those new to the insurance field an opportunity to develop their skills.
What I dislike about the company
They have no sense of work life balance and do not offer competitive salaries for their employees.
