Nothing was fair. Some were expected to do more than others and none of us were given much praise but alot of negative when mistakes accurred.
Support from management
I did not find it a pleasant experience. They do not listen to the operate if you are female and they did not know what you were even doing or how it was done.
We all tried to help each other except a few . I don't think it was done fairly when other departments needed help.
Freedom to work independently
I didn't feel it was fair. I was expected to do more than others who did nothing most of the day. A few of us carried the rest. I observed others being asked for opinions on the job that I was responsible for.
We were not trained. We were shown once and expected to figure it out. We were also lied to in quarterly meetings.
This is a deaden job unless you a friend or family member of someone important.
Office / Work Environment
The ventilation was very poor and the computers never worked well. The entire plant is filthy and unorganized. Most of the machines are very outdated and broke down daily.
There is alot of sexual harassment and there was no consideration of our environment which was very poor. I was not aware of any trade.
Vacation days were given freely in some departments but based on favoritism in others. There is nothing in place for family problems and they did not care what was happening in your home life. Work was expected to be above your home life. This is why I left. I had some big events happen and they did not help me. They made it harder for me.
I was very proud of my work and felt I did very well. They now have 3 people doing what I did alone. Also, when helping other departments, I noticed mistakes and was told to send it anyway.
Inclusive / Diverse
They ask your opinion but do not listen and then get upset when not right.
Suggestions for improvement
- My best suggestion is to replace entire management and replace machines that don't run well and build shelter for employees who go outside for breaks. Also need to improve safety guards on machines with less politics involved.
What I like about the company
I liked what I did even though it was hard work.
What I dislike about the company
I felt it was alot of politics and no communication. They worry about politics but do not care about making it better for employees. We were expected to perform without the right materials and the metals were poor and lots of problems when using for product.
