Teamwork

My first week working there The entire former staff walked out on him in the middle of office hours. I was stocked but I now understand why. I was ask to work both billing and front desk, plus put patients in room and do in take. since this took all of 8 hours I did billing in evening on my time. He is not a man of his word and like to blame others for his lack of controlling issues within in business. His office manager is very unprofessional to say the least. If you don't become personal friend with her she becomes loud and abusive to you in front of others. She lies to owner regarding what goes on in the office. You can cut the tension with a knife. She offend brings her son to work and expects everyone to make a fuss over him. Owner makes fun of staff members behind their back, but sides with the person who is standing in front of him at the time. Very unprofessional office, staff member Never on time including evening staff for sleep studies leaving patients to wait in hall way till someone arrives to open office.

Internal Communication

Staff meting are a joke. Owner never makes a decision and allows office manager to bully others and lie which caused a fight every time. Owner cries about no money yet office manager order none essential items ( which she takes most of the items home with her) He questions why things are happening and if office disagrees with you, he sides with her instead of investigating for himself who is being truthful.

Gender Equality

Owner makes fun of staff members regarding looks, weight and work. His manager has forced several Black employees to leave or had them fired

Attitude towards older colleagues

If your old your stupid is the attitude of office manager and Owner just goes along with what she says nd agrees with their telling her DON'T listen to them... Who cares what they think or say. Are his famous words.

Career Development

He promises you the world , then cries He just can't do that now. Every time I tried to train a new employee, Office manager or owner who pull them away and tell me to just do their job since they don't know.

Office / Work Environment

I had NO permanent desk for over 3 and a half years. bounded to any place that had a space for my lap top and a plug. Working bed rooms used for evening sleep studies and storage. Also used my own personal lap top. 3 months prior to my leaving I was given an office which a consulting firm he hired forced to issue to give me an office and company computer. Which the office manager also made many commits to me about get my own office as the biller.

Job Security

Only if you are personal friends with office manager and bend over backward for her, like watching her kids, going to their birthday party or at least sending a gift, covering up for her for her not being in office when doctor is out and supporting ALL her personal fund raisers.

Suggestions for improvement

  • Get rid of abusive office manager and owner need to learn to take responsibility for his business and be decent to ALL his employees.

What I like about the company

I enjoy what I do but .....that's it

What I dislike about the company

Owner was very unprofessional and allows his office manager to be vulgar and abusive. He is NOT a man of his word and a liar.
