There is no culture. The outside Sales team are revered and treated as gods while the remainder of the company's employees are barely considered employees until they are forced to be creative with making of monthly sales deficits to meet projections. Leadership struggles to lead an ever changing market and are short if sight with innovative thinking.
Support from management
There is absolutely zero support from management. Mostly due to lack of ability in the roles to either manage or understand how to effectively manage the work. Those managers that have the capability are often intentionally left out of the discussions by executive leadership to obtain their desired outcome.
Teamwork is not encouraged. Working within silos is highly encouraged. "Dream Teams" consist of only physically appealing brochure makers who lack ability and knowledge.
Freedom to work independently
Independent thought is NOT encouraged and actually punishable by dismissal should that independent work outshine ones manager (who typically cannot grasp concepts for whoch they are titled to manage).
One primary reason leadership lacks the ability to lead is the inability to effectively and consistently communicate.
Fraternal order. Female VPs are among those most knowledgeable that are intentionally omitted from executive meetings.
Attitude towards older colleagues
A few tenured employees. I found them to be most knowledgeable and amiable. Very high turnover and very high number of lawsuits with those departures.
Little to none offered nor encouraged.
Overall compensation for your work
Starting salary not at all commiserate with expectations. Completely out of touch with need and standard rates.
Office / Work Environment
Often without necessary equipment, space, or staff needed to complete ongoing duties.
Environmentally ignorant. Released over 100 or so balloons to celebrate merger with environmentally friendly paper company.
WLB is encouraged but, the lack of leadership often causes employees to waste valuable time in workimg relatively as opposed to foreshadowing and accounnting for issues.
Decent products. High cost. NASA chose compression wear for their astronauts.
High turnover and dismissal rate. High number of lawsuits associated with those dismissals.
Not a single piece of ergonomic furniture or supplies available unless employee foots the bill.
Projects not assigned based upon merit or validity.
Inclusive / Diverse
ZERO POC within leadership above manager.
Suggestions for improvement
- Too many to list but, a good start would be to replace the executive team in its entirety. Not one is capable of maintaining their responsibilities.
What I like about the company
There isn't my a single thing to list regarding the company itself. Only some of its employees are actually likeable but, they're typically handled accordingly.
What I dislike about the company
Nearly every single aspect of the business...start to finish.
