Suggestions for improvement
- All departments should have opportunities for professional training, conferences, and team activities. Additionally, any pay differences among equally experienced and performing employees within a department, must be remedied. Finally, the chasm between Technical Support and Research & Development needs to be removed. We must change our attitude that Support members lack technical knowledge, and not just go through the motions of interviewing them when they apply. Otherwise, we will lose this talent to other companies, and sometimes, competitors.
What I like about the company
The company prides itself on internal promotions for most departments.
What I dislike about the company
Technical Support employees who have software development education are overlooked for entry-level development positions. That department's leadership would rather hire from outside the company. These employees often leave the company once they realize the development leadership will never take them seriously.
