Level of Autonomy
Company does not hire enough people to even the workload. Cashiers were hired for the Christmas holiday but not scheduled to work busiest days. There was always at least 2 departments to fall on other employees at end of night.
Overall Compensation for your work
The company does not pay a satisfying salary in regard to the work expected. 90% are part time in order to avoid benefits. You could not support a family or cover monthly obligations. As a semi retiree, I encourage many of my coworkers to find more stable employment for their situations.
