Suggestions for improvement
- Clarify the true priorities of employment and expectations of management. Rather than unspoken cultural norms and expectations, set forth universally applicable standards by which employees will be held. Strive to move away from employee success being contingent upon employees' social success, or make it clear to employees that social success is a top employment priority.
What I like about the company
There are many supportive senior attorneys that provide guidance and help. The support staff is always available to assist with projects and accept assignments. Many group lunches and firm-sponsored events, you can count on 5-10 free lunches per month. Very nice office building with equipment and supplies.
What I dislike about the company
Much of an employee's success is far too contingent upon unspoken cultural rules and norms. Honest communication, rather than communication, is not a priority. Senior attorneys should strive to communicate clearly and honestly about expectations and issues. A corporate effort to abandon double-talk would increase understandings.
