Support from management
Depending on who you are and who you know. Management has their favorites. Off shifts don’t get support like 1st does.
Each shift competes against the others. There is no teamwork outside of shift. Shifts individually have team work but the company as a whole is never a team.
Poor communication from one shift to next.
Small companies that don’t grow much puts your chances of moving up slim. The people on first shift have been there since they opened.
Overall compensation for your work
Get pay increases often if you perform job correctly.
Office / Work Environment
Work environment can be chaotic at times. Set instructions are not always understandable.
Depending on shift. Third shift has a lot of negative people and aren’t very friendly.
Off every weekend and sometimes fridays. Rarely ever work over time.
As long as you come to work and don’t miss and do your job right you will keep your job.
Very tight spaces for work area.
Die setters work to set molds in very small spaces next to operators working on the press behind them.
There is always new parts (new molds) to learn about. But very little resources on where parts go in cars and information.
Inclusive / Diverse
If your idea isn’t managements idea then they look over them.
Suggestions for improvement
- The negative people shouldn’t be put on pedistals the should get rid of them so that people who actually care can be appreciated. Certain people get picked on when their intentions were good they get in trouble for just trying to help. Management doesn’t do what they should do to fix issues . People shouldn’t get punished for making small mistakes.
What I like about the company
The owner is a very nice man and he actively makes an appearance daily to show his appreciation. Very good incentive for perfect attendance.
What I dislike about the company
A lot of back biting. More competition than team work. Shifts feel like they are competing with other shifts. HR picks on certain people.
