Don't expect any gratitude or appreciation for any hard work. Management thinks it's some type of privilege to work there and that you should be thankful you have a job there.
Support from management
There is no leadership or proper decision making.
This place is like high school where everyone gets talked about behind their back. If there is an issue you better get your side of the story in first or your co-workers will throw you under the bus to make themselves look better.
You will never know how well the company is doing. You will only know when times are bad because OT will be forbidden and meetings consist of how lucky we are to have jobs. However, the owner will go buy a bunch of equipment to do work at his house at auctions.
Women are only hired to do office work and clean.
Attitude towards older colleagues
Other than management all employees are under 35
There is no structure in the company so there is no chance for advancement. You are either management or a worker.
Overall compensation for your work
Salaries and benefits are good and are paid timely.
Office / Work Environment
The shop is air conditioned and there are plenty of fans for ventilation.
I don't think management cares about climate protection or environmental issues. They care about making money to spend on junk.
Schedule is set and there is no alternatives unless you are management pet then you can come and go as you please, take long lunches, and not have to follow any attendance rules.
Most everyone is disgruntled but stay because the pay and benefits are good.
Safety is communicated here but if there is a choice on getting something done quickly or doing safely they would rather have it done quickly.
I felt a sense of accomplishment but that's my character but there was no appreciation in what we did so it's an empty feeling.
Inclusive / Diverse
It's an all male company for the most part the only women at the company answer phones and clean the office.
Suggestions for improvement
- I think this company is so corrupt in its ways that any suggestions would fall on deaf ears. However, if management would appreciate their employee's work and make them feel valued the company would be much better.
What I like about the company
Pay and benefits
What I dislike about the company
The back stabbing culture, the lack of direction by management, and the favoritism towards some employees.
