Suggestions for improvement
- Providing more positive feedback and/or expressing appreciation periodically would go a long way toward keeping morale up. A simple "thank you" really goes a long way. Don't micro-manage. You have supervisors, trust them to do their jobs. Communicate. None of us are mind-readers. Verbal communication is great, but written is even better.
What I like about the company
Since it is a small company, everyone knows each other pretty well. It's like a family. Sometimes you fight, sometimes you don't like each other's opinions, sometimes you get on each other's nerves. But at the end of the day, you are all in it together and you care about each other. We've helped each other through deaths, births, marriages, divorces, and illnesses (sometimes life-threatening). It's wonderful to be part of such a close-knit group.
What I dislike about the company
The owner's employ two of their children. One of them is great, the other behaves like a large child. It is not okay to allow this behavior from anyone, and if anyone else acted this way, they would have been let go a long time ago. The negative behavior brings down the morale of others sometimes.
