My duties have gotten progressively more time consuming and intense while pay has stayed relatively the same for 20 yr
Suggestions for improvement
- A basic understanding of day to day running of the company would be beneficial. If administrators were required to step back into the trenches, so to speak, and recall what it is like to perform day to day duties. Admin and central office figures need to be required to work in the classroom every few years. Also, teachers should not be expected to be held 100% accountable for everything that goes on in each student's education...parents and students need to be held accountable too. Boost school climate and culture by uplifting teachers and bynot blaming them for every thing that happens. Hold parents and students accountable. Finally, reinstate recess, at least at the Elementary level. Teachers as well as students need that break time.
What I like about the company
Coworkers tend to be supportive of one another.
What I dislike about the company
The company infrastructure has maintained the same for over 20 years. While more pressure and stress has been placed on the outward branches, the administration, and those "higher up," seem to have less to worry about.
