Suggestions for improvement
- The improvements I would make would begin with terminating employees who are not performing well instead of promoting them. Employees who are not benefiting the students, culture and environment of the school should not be allowed to remain at that school. The union shouldn't be allowed to protect an employee who is not promoting the school's best interests......the students.
What I like about the company
Caddo schools is a great place to work. It is a place where one can move up in one's career. As an administrator, I have the support needed to run an elementary school. I don't agree with some decisions made by the district, but overall, I do believe that the district has the best interests of the students in mind. The current superintendent and most members of his cabinet are moving the district in the right direction.
What I dislike about the company
The district appears to have a "good ole boy" system in that some employees move up quicker because of who they know and not because of their abilities and/or experiences. The pay scale for employees (excluding those who hold the highest positions) is below the average across the country.
