Do not expect management to support you or give you an atta boy for a job well done. They make sure to take credit, while they sit around and gossip about everyone. Even themselves and the owners.
Support from management
Do not approach management or supervisors as you will be laughed at and noted in your file.
The employees work well but the management makes sure to try and play workers against each other, wanting people to report and turn others in with bribery that never happens.
Freedom to work independently
Workload is dumped on whomever is working, and don't expect help with what you are doing. They are short staffed for a reason but everyone is to blame for errors on the job.
What meetings they have, they try to show you the work load, forecast upcoming orders, and have questions and answers time but that is a shirt lived q & a.
Women do not have the same opportunities as the men. Women are not appreciated unless your attractive and then you can sit with men managers and talk and visit.
Attitude towards older colleagues
They do have some older women that work there. Because they are too old to work anywhere else.
You are taught only what you need to know, to build a part that is needed. If the customer's really knew how things were ran and how things were done they'd probably go else where.
Overall compensation for your work
Underpaid, over worked, under appreciated.
Office / Work Environment
Working conditions are fair.
If you have a problem or concern, management wants you to come and talk to them, but when you do you are mocked. You are belittled. You are then written up a few days after. Any suggestions on how to better a situation is frowned upon. We only work there. But yet we are first hand making these products and know what works and what needs improvement.
No vacation unless they seem necessary, and when you do ask for time off, you may get it, a moth later if that. You don't have a life, be prepared to work your self silly.
No one thst works there has good things to say.
Positions are eliminated often. No job security. And they are sure to point that out, scare tactic for you to do everything 100% and above.
No. No such things.
No. Only when they are going to be audited or chance a visit from an outside source. Then it's quickly clean up, and get things in the correct order.
Yes. Great feeling when you complete an order and all goes well, however that's only your feelings. No confirmation of any job well done.
Inclusive / Diverse
Men run the show, and are management, except for the daughter of the owners. Women are the grunt workers. I'm truly serious. Ask anyone that's worked there or currently does.
Suggestions for improvement
- Company, management needs a complete overhaul.
What I like about the company
I liked what I did. I felt it required me to constantly be on my toes, and thinking.
What I dislike about the company
The unfairness, sexist, racist, close-minded, small mentality.
