The supervisor was extremely difficult to work for, as the entire department was micromanaged immensely and our actions were CONSTANTLY questioned. However, the company as a whole, as well as the benefits such as 401K, PTO, Health insurance was AMAZING. So sad to it didn't work out for me better.
Support from management
Supervision was not good.
Not alot of people in the department felt comfortable addressing issues as lots of secrets were kept from the Supervisor, and people were looked down on, or as tattletales if they brought up ANY issue.
Freedom to work independently
The supervisor I worked for did NOT trust the employees, and every action was questioned numerous times. It was unsettling.
Overall compensation for your work
Deserved to be paid better for assisting other departments all the time.
Loved the company, not the department.
Our work was challenging, however what was frustrating was being asked to assist other departments with little to no notice or training. Poorly run department with much worse management.
Inclusive / Diverse
the minorities were definitely favored and treated better it seemed like where I worked.
Suggestions for improvement
- All employees should be treated fairly. People should be ENCOURAGED to go to someone with a problem, and not FEAR the outcome. That is such a shame.
What I like about the company
The company matches their 401K with an enhanced contribution, which is almost double the normal match employers offer for the 1st 3 percent. The PTO is very reasonable, and they also have a gym on site. Many perks of working at this company, as long as the politics don't get in the way of performing your job, and the expectations of EACH employee is EQUAL...no favoritism is being showed.
What I dislike about the company
I disapprove of the way some supervisors bully their employees, and make them question every single move they make. I also did not like the favoritism that was constantly showed between Supervisors and employees, so as to make the other employees feel inadequate. The expectations of certain employees was also way off from what other people were expected to do. That was just ridiculous. The perks of working there, if you are in a happy positive department/ environment, could possibly outweigh the negatives. I did enjoy my time there before we were given a new Supervisor.
