I like about the employer
Carbonite provides a good alternative to normal call center work for those with decent computer skills. The environment and benefits are much better than what most call centers in the Lewiston/Auburn area offer and they tend to hire good people.
I dislike about the employer
Carbonite suffers from the same drawbacks as most call centers. They decide when you can take time off, go to the bathroom, take your breaks, etc. It should go without saying, but you are basically chained to your desk with no chance for physical activity during the work day. Management occasionally forces you to accept new work schedules to suit company needs. Supervisors often understand less about the Carbonite product than those they supervise and are usually promoted via favoritism.
