Employees are occasionally commended during the monthly meetings, but mostly the employees are read a list of complaints from parents and physicians.
Support from management
Management does not address employee concerns. When dissatisfied parents request a meeting with management the manager sometimes hides behind a wall & instructs workers to say " the manager is not here today."
Some employees work well together, but for the most part there is little teamwork
Freedom to work independently
Work is distributed based on favoritism.
Too many meetings. Meetings are called just to make management feel good about being in charge. Issues rarely get resolved
As previously stated, there is "favoritism."
Attitude towards older colleagues
Older employees have been harassed into resignation and are made to feel like they're not keeping up.
No room for advancement. The place is a revolving door. Nurses continually quit every 3-6 months
Office / Work Environment
Clean, well kept, great views of outside, but the office is cold in the winter. The heating unit sometimes breaks down, but management refuses to close the office since their main concern is $$. The patients have to undress for exams in rooms with no heat
They recycle (because it's the law).
Patient families often complain about the inability to schedule timely appointments.
Employees are kept very busy. Never a dull moment (or time to even blow your nose).
Suggestions for improvement
- All suggestions fall on deaf ears. There's no hope for this place
What I like about the company
Good location. Serves a diverse culture of patients
What I dislike about the company
The cold, corporate atmosphere, office politics, favoritism and pitting employees against each other. Employees are expected to meet work demands within unreasonable time constraints.
