Suggestions for improvement
- Put a clear policy in place for overtime computation, attire, workplace bullying, ability to report without fear of retaliation.
What I like about the company
The company is supportive and positive most of the time. There are people in supervisory positions that abuse their power. There are unfair hiring and firing practices on occasion. There is a lot of "nepotism" with "friends and family" members. To move up the ladder you must be a "butt kisser." There are many employees that do an excellent job, which is often overshadowed by terrible employees who create problems and a negative environment in a way that it is blamed on another person. EVERYONE knows it is happening but because these people are butt kissers, nothing is ever done to remedy the situation. On one occasion an employee reported workplace bullying verbally. She was advised to report it in writing. Before she was able to do a written report, she was fired. These are isolated, but should not be allowed.
What I dislike about the company
Nepotism-friends and family. Lack of concern with workplace bullying. Not having a clear and precise policy across the board for all employees in all departments. Some departments and some employees are "allowed" to do certain things while other departments or employees are not.
