On the whole, yes. But there is competition for resources (human, non-human, and information) on all levels.
Attitude towards older colleagues
Older workers are appreciated for info, but as is manufacturing, looked poorly upon for speed.
Overall compensation for your work
Decent, before union dues. Union has VERY little power and as a result take dues and provides employees nothing.
Office / Work Environment
Production floor is literally a refridgerator- a constant 40 degrees F to keep meat fresh. Floor and surfaces commonly wet. Lighting and ventilation are adequate.
Recycling seems to stop at tin cans.

No. Company growing/high turnover means just showing everyday and not making big mistakes guarantees employment.
Production work doesnt allow for wheelchairs, but office jobs do.
There is fair amount of training required before employment begins.
