Mamagers will always ask if you need help.
A lot of those hired have "team player" and "the whole is greater than the sum of its parts" mentality.
Communication is average. Sometimes I am well communicated to, other times I am not.
Plenty of opportunity to request off and release shifts.
Carrabba's values and keeps its hard workers.
It's a restaurant. All restaurants have some danger factors about them. Job safety was up to each employee.
Work is somewhat challenging. You take less tables at a time than other restaurants. Being a cook is much harder.
At one location I worked, we went as far as staffing an entire side of the restaurant with few English speakers (this did not inhibit restaurant flow, as some in this group translated for the others very well).
Management only treated you right if you let them get away with touching your butt. Bipolar runs in the management.
We were all pretty honest and direct. All of us good friends. A lot of laziness though.
Depends on the woman. If you let management get away with sexual harassment and the verbal abuse, then you were able to have larger sections, better schedules, and little perks like free coffee.
Very challenging having to deal with the horrible clientele. At the end of the day I was less proud and more self- hating.
I had flexible hours. I loved the staff because it was like working with my friends.
Management was horrible. I have never felt so belittled by people except for with one manager in particular. Also the clientele is horrible. They don't tip, and every table was to adjust the dish that they order. They should just have a menu set out for create your own everything.
